... Introduce Scrum

Scrum is a great method for teams of around eight people to achieve success in projects efficiently and motivatingly. I am convinced of that. At the same time, I have seen many companies that have used agile project management terms, but have failed to achieve any effect. On the contrary, the new terms have made the old, reasonably effective methods worse rather than better.

That's why, if the entire company isn't already working with Scrum, for example, I look for a subproject or area that is ideally suited for a Scrum team. We then use the first sprint to learn the basics of Scrum and define, for example, the role of the product owner and the initial backlog. After 4-5 sprints, the team has usually settled in and can work “normally” with Scrum. At this point, word of the efficient and motivating way of working usually spreads throughout the company and other teams want to jump on the bandwagon.

Together we answer the questions:
  • Why isn't Scrum a breakthrough in collaboration for us?
  • Haven't we been working agilely for a long time
  • What can we really use from agile to become better?
  • What will change for me if we work agilely?
  • Why is there so much hype around agile project management?
  • How can we get off to a good start with agile methods?
